My First Post
Hello everyone! My name is Ryan Perales, and I am a first-year student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. While I completed my first semester here in Alaska, I transitioned to online courses from California for my second semester. I am pursuing a major in Aerospace Engineering, a field that aligns with my interests and career aspirations. Outside of my academic pursuits, I enjoy listening to music and spending time with my girlfriend.
Photography is one of my favorite pastimes. While I do not consider myself an artist or a professional, I am captivated by the beauty of nature and the emotions captured through human expressions. For me, photography serves as a medium to preserve meaningful moments and convey powerful emotions.
Another activity I enjoy is attending my community’s art hop, a downtown event where local creators showcase their talents. This event features food, merchandise, and various artistic displays, offering a space for creativity and connection. I appreciate the opportunity to support local artists and immerse myself in the vibrant artistic culture of my hometown.

ReplyDeleteI love how you said photography is your favorite past time. I use to take a lot of photos too but i haven't lately. I need to get back to it.
ReplyDeleteRight off the bat, I have been to the Fresno Art Museum that you put a link to so that is pretty awesome. I am glad to hear that your academic career has been good and that you are perusing the career that you want to do. I also really enjoy photography and even though you said you are not a professional like you said, maybe this class will be able to help finetune how you see the things you are photographing as art. ReplyDeleteI also attended in person for my first semester and moved home to do online classes as well. I think photography is an awesome thing, and I want to get more into it, I just don't know how to do that. I have never heard of anything like an art hop, that sounds cool and hopefully someday I can attend one.

ReplyDeleteHi Ryan, I also like photography. In fact, I had my first photography class last semester, and I enjoyed taking photos of nature and people. As you said, it's beautiful to see nature photography because it lets you bring the natural beauty of the world into your house and lets you capture that moment.
